Camera Critters #36

Camera Critters #36 - 13th December 2008

Hi

Have not found the picture of Minnie that I was thinking of sharing, but found this one and decided to share this instead.

This is Minnie - she is a Spotted Bengal. She is the smallest of our three cats - people always ask if she is a kitten, but she is about 8 years old. The one thing I did not realise about Bengals before we got her - they are highly vocal cats. And the more you ignore them, the louder they get! They also have very different cries for different reasons. This is all fine until she decides that because she is awake at 4 in the morning, everyone else should be too. But we still love her dearly!

This is not recent snow - this fell in April. All the cats were really quite confused by it - we don't get much here on the South Coast of England. They could not work out why their paws disappeared into it - it was great fun to watch ! Hopefully we will get more soon - I love snow!

Blessings to all

Pretty kitty! I'd love to have seen the cats encountering the snow, confused by why their paws were sinking. That's hilarious.

Great photo!

Minnie is so pretty. And looks well pampered in all the white fluffy stuff. Love the photo.

cute cat but I'm not sure she's too happy about the snow, I don't blame her :)

Minnie is a beautiful cat. Nice that she is forever small but I think I might get rather peeved if she woke me up at 4 am. :-)

She doesn't look too happy about the snow, but she's a gorgeous cat.

Lovely photo! Our cat was also very surprised to see snow and walked in it very gingerly shaking its paws with every step.

Cats--you just have to love them! My boy, Cougar wants out about 5:00 in the morning, and when he can get me up any other way he goes to a mini-blind and starts running his paws down it to aggravate me enough to get up and let him out.

She is beautiful and this is a really great photo. Ahhh yes, I know all about vocal pets - mine talk to me all the time ;-)

Minnie is just beautiful kitty.

She is gorgeous. I have heard these cats can be difficult if the owners aren't prepared for their "I do what I want" mind set. But then I guess that is with all cats :)

She is a pretty little thing. I love to watch my cats in the snow too. I have a picture of my cat trying to stretch as far as she could to avoid stepping on the snow. Lisa

I am very impressed with your spotted bengal. I have never seen one being owned as a pet and have read about their breeding from the leopard. Yours is beautiful and it sounds like he has the roar of the jungle..at 4 in the morning!! What an way to wake up! Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed visiting your post.

WOW! The evil Darth Mittens hates being outside in the summer, I can't imagine getting her out in the snow! Your cat is very brave. :) Have a wonderful Sunday!!

You're welcome to some of our snow! We've gotten a foot of it in three days!

What a beautiful kitty. The look on her face is priceless. My cats will have nothing at all to do with snow. Cold, wet, ruins their hair... They take after their mama that way. ;)

Oh, and thank you for your offer of the scrapbook pages. That was very nice of you. I don't have a lot of pictures of them, though, and none of them are scanned. I'm hoping for a digital camera for christmas, so I just might take you up on that offer at a later date. I'm sure I'll take dozens of pictures of my ladies with my new toy. ;)

Have a wonderful holiday!
